The International Shipsuppliers & Services Association representing nearly 2,000 ship suppliers throughout the world
I am writing on behalf of the ISSA Executive Board to announce that ISSA has postponed this year’s ISSA 68 Convention in Rome by one year and will be holding it in the same location – the Rome Cavalieri Hotel – one year later between Tuesday 2nd November and November 5th next year (2027).
The reason behind the postponement is the increasing uncertainty caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
Running an event as large and as successful as ISSA Convention takes time and with a strong percentage of our sponsors and delegates coming from areas of the world affected by the ongoing conflict, either directly or indirectly, the decision was taken to postpone the event by one year to avoid ISSA 68 being impacted financially and operationally. With the cost of hotels and air fares rising significantly as a result of the conflict, the ability of our members to attend Convention in the numbers we would have expected and wanted, may have been negatively impacted. Something we wanted to avoid.
